Original 12×16in Oil Pastel on Canvas Board created 3/14/26
This expressive portrait explores identity through layered color, softened forms, and striking contrasts that bring the face forward from an atmospheric field of vibrant hues. Rich oil pastel creates a tactile surface where colors blend and overlap, giving the figure an emotional depth that feels both intimate and dreamlike. The result is a bold, contemporary portrait that balances recognizable human expression with the freedom of abstraction.
